In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of playground Maintenance.   Steve Wilmes, CPSI, goes through all the issues that are commonly found, how to address them and why maintenance is so important. This course is trusted by public entities thorough California as one of the best.

Per the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), about 200,000 American children require emergency room visits after playground accidents every year. Whether you’re a school district or city public works employee, a concerned parent, or trying to become a playground inspector, it is critical to know how to determine if your playground is safe for kids to use.

Steve has over 20 years of experience inspecting, auditing, and certifying public playgrounds. He has a thorough understanding of the regulations and requirements of the NRPA. He is also well-versed in OSHA requirements for playgrounds.

In this course, Steve will show you what hazards exist on the playground, how to identify them, and how to have them corrected. He will give you the basics on how to conduct an inspection. He will show you the proper use of playground inspection tools like the head probe, the torso probe, and the fish probe.

To become a CPSI, you must pass a written or online test with the NRPA. This training works as a preparatory course for that exam.

Make your kids safer at school and city parks by learning how to inspect playgrounds for safety.
