Requirements
In this course you will learn everything you need to know to coach clients in nutrition (sports)supplements and specialize further into sports nutrition.
This course is taught by Jeroen who is an internationally certified personal trainer and internationally certified nutrition coach with over 12 years of experience helping clients and teaching other personal trainers and nutrition coaches how to better help athletes perform better.
You’ll learn about what supplements athletes and non-athletes might need and why. We will discuss why a good diet is important and what other elements might cause the increase in sports performance.
You will learn about the different health supplements, sports supplements and hydratation.
You will learn about when health supplements might be needed. We will discuss what vitamins and minerals might increase risks if supplemented. We will go over herbal extracts and the possible benefits. You will learn the difference between isotonic, hypertonic and hypotonic sports beveragers.
And of course you will learn about the different sports supplements like creatine, caffeine, whey protein, BCAA, and more. We will discuss performance enhancing drugs and the benefits and risks that come with these supplements.
By the end of this course you know what supplements might work and when to take these. With this knowledge you can better coach and guide athletes in achieving better results.
